Charles Bruffy

Guest Conductor Charles Bruffy is one of the most admired choral conductors in the United States, respected and renowned for his fresh and passionate interpretations of standards of the choral repertory and for championing new music. He currently conducts the Kansas City Chorale, the Kansas City Symphony Chorus and the Phoenix Chorale, and is Director of Music at Rolling Hills Presbyterian Church. In 2008, Mr. Bruffy and the Phoenix Chorale received a Grammy award for their Chandos recording, Spotless Rose.

 

 

 

 

John Walker

Pianist John Walker is Principal Keyboard for the South Dakota Symphony Orchestra and Associate Professor of Music and Director of Keyboard Studies at SDSU. Walker's performances include solo appearances with the South Dakota Symphony and Chamber Orchestra, the Diablo Symphony and Contra Costa Chamber Orchestras in California, and the Shasta and Paradise Symphony Orchestras in northern California. He was a member of the Colorado Festival Orchestra for four years, and has performed solo and chamber music in Italy, Switzerland, Slovenia and throughout the Midwest.
